The CM16 GMS SBR from G&G Armament is a compact modern platform within the Combat Machine family, designed to combine lightweight construction with enhanced electronic performance. The rifle uses a reinforced polymer receiver that reduces overall weight while maintaining durability for regular skirmish use.

Externally, the rifle features a compact SBR configuration with a polymer Picatinny handguard that allows the mounting of accessories such as weapon lights, grips, or lasers. A full-length Picatinny flat-top across the receiver provides a stable platform for optics and sight systems. The rifle also includes dual-profile fibre-optic flip-up sights that can be used in either low-profile or raised configurations depending on the user’s preference.

Internally, the CM16 GMS SBR is built around G&G’s MIG gearbox, an upgraded Version 2 architecture derived from the G2 gearbox platform. The drivetrain is supported by 8 mm steel bushings and powered by G&G’s original long-axis motor rated at approximately 25,000 RPM, delivering strong cycling performance.

The rifle incorporates an Electronic Trigger Unit (ETU) combined with a MOSFET, improving trigger response while protecting internal electrical components. This electronic system also enables improved firing consistency and efficiency compared with purely mechanical trigger systems.

A true quick-change spring system allows players to adjust the rifle’s power output quickly without full gearbox disassembly, enabling easy adaptation to different site limits.

The rifle uses a 168 mm precision inner barrel paired with an adjustable hop-up chamber, providing stable accuracy while maintaining the compact SBR configuration. A 14 mm CCW threaded muzzle allows suppressors, tracer units, or other muzzle devices to be installed easily.

At the rear of the rifle, a GOS-V16 retractable stock provides adjustable length of pull and houses the battery within the buffer tube. Ambidextrous magazine release controls and a functional bolt catch further enhance the rifle’s ergonomic handling.

Supplied with a 30-round mid-cap magazine, the CM16 GMS SBR offers a lightweight and realistic loadout while maintaining dependable feeding performance.
