The PTS Enhanced Polymer Magazine (EPM) is a mid-capacity airsoft magazine designed for M4/M16 AEG rifles, renowned for its durability and user-friendly features. Constructed from Dupont Zytel Polymer, the magazine’s shell offers enhanced strength and a textured grip to facilitate handling during gameplay.
A distinctive feature of the EPM is its transparent bullet window, which displays mock 5.56 rounds. When fully loaded, an orange follower becomes visible at the base of this window, providing a clear visual indicator that the magazine is at capacity. This design allows users to quickly assess the magazine’s status and know when to stop loading.
The magazine’s baseplate is engineered with an angled surface and a rubber over-mold on the lower face. This combination enhances stability when resting the gun on flat surfaces and improves traction. The design also ensures comfort when drawing the magazine from pouches and does not interfere with the closure of flaps on closed-top magazine pouches. Additionally, a ribbed ledge on the baseplate aids in extracting the magazine from deep pouches and assists with proper indexing.
